Remember Emmanuel Lewis? You Should See What He Looks Like Now!
Emmanuel Lewis captured the hearts of America when he played the adorable role as the title character in the 80’s sitcom Webster.
America fell in love with the adorable Emmanuel Lewis when he played the role as the title character in the 80’s sitcom Webster. Emmanuel Lewis played a super-cute six-year-old adopted child whose adoptive parents were white. Lewis was twelve years old when he got the part in the sitcom.
Lewis is the youngest in the family and he was born and lived in Brooklyn, New York with his 4 siblings and his mother. His Mom always knew there was something special about him and eventually the family relocated to Hollywood, California so Lewis could pursue his acting career. They signed little Emmanuel up with The Schuller Talent Agency and it changed his life.
Emmanuel Lewis was also a vey close friend with the late and great Michael Jackson. When Jackson died in 2009, the news of MJ’s death hit Emmanuel particularly hard. Lewis’s agent reported that Emmanuel is “sincerely devastated at this time” since Jackson’s death was “very personal and very emotional” to him. Instead of appearing in public and releasing statements himself, Lewis chose to grieve in private.
This is Emmanuel at an event in August of 2016. He’s still looks the same! Maybe a bit heavier…but still the same person well all know and love!
Emmanuel is a very busy man but he still finds time to keep up with his favorite hobby which is flying.
Lewis said “I love to fly but it’s even better when you bring an ole friend like Airdawg aka Master Flight Instructor Tim Perez and a new friend like Captain Nick Schillen.”
So what’s he been up to?
After “Webster” was cancelled, Lewis made guest appearances in a few ‘90s TV shows like “Family Matters,” “Moesha” and “Malcolm & Eddie.” He starred in the first season of “The Surreal Life,” in 2003. Later, he kept busy with his own record label, Flex Floss Entertainment. Lewis didn’t land many stable acting roles after Webster, so he decided to broaden his talents as an entrepreneur. At one point, Lewis owned a limousine company and a car wash service.
