These 10 Signs Prove That You Could Be Suffering From High-Function Depression!

Depression – a word that scares the world just as much as nuclear bombs do, may be having a distant cousin that you probably have no idea of. This is called High-Function Depression, a syndrome with blurred lines to most other psychological disorders.

WHAT IS HFD?

High Function Depression is mostly considered to be very similar to Dysthymia, a condition that results into one having a depressed mood for most of the day, if not all. It is indicated by other factors like food disorders, insomnia or hypersomnia, fatigue, low energy, low self-esteem levels, poor concentrations, deteriorating decision making skills etc.

This however, doesn’t necessarily hinder daily processes, lifestyle and relationships. Those with HFD are seen to be high end achievers, talented and competitive individuals with a zest for life. However, there may be times when the serious lack of contentment and happiness will surface.
